Ikuri Arcade Pinball Hall

We went to Ikuri Arcade with my brothers and 5-year-old nephew to play with pinball machines. All four of us enjoyed our time there for four hours. There were about 20 pinball machines to play, both older and newer ones. I had never played with a pinball machine before. I had only played pinball on PC. When I was younger I played especially Psycho Pinball. I loved the different worlds in it.

It was interesting to notice the differences in the machines, not just in their look but their feel. In the older ones you needed to push the flipper buttons harder. Also, the ball moved in different speeds. My favorite were the ones where you could get to another pinball game inside the game!

It was fun to notice how the sound you had heard only as a sound effect on PC, came to life! For example, the sound when the push down “buttons” came back up once you had hit them all with the ball. Tilting was harder than on PC. The machines are quite heavy… One of the machines had some issues. It constantly lost the ball and tried to search for it without success.

We had a tournament between the siblings. It was very even; the situation was 5-5-5 but then in the finale my twin brother defeated us.

I definitely recommend Ikuri Arcade. It's only open when they arrange game days. You can also rent it for your own group.
