My first job in games!

I’ve wanted to work in games industry for some years now, and last month I finally got lucky. I started as a software engineer at Wiztivi Gaming in Espoo, Finland on 25th of February. I will be porting existing games into a cloud gaming platform. I am working full time so no self dev days on Friday anymore. But it doesn’t matter as I will surely learn a lot of new things in the new job. I travel from Tampere to Espoo every day which takes about 7 hours of my day, but I can sleep, read, listen to music or podcasts, watch Youtube, plan my own games and so on, and in the future also work during the trip. Some people have not understood the long commute but sometimes you have to make sacrifices to get what you want. Let’s see how it goes :)
