New game project

A friend of mine whom I got to know in Unity meetups asked if I wanted to make a game with her. Right now she is in similar situation as I was. She is working in IT as a programmer but actually would like to work in the game industry. But she’s more interested in the graphics side of games. So we decided that she would make the graphics and I would program the game, and we would design together. We agreed that the game would be a small one so it would be possible to get it done in reasonable time, as we both work full-time plus I have my own projects too. We met in a cafe to plan what we would do. She had drawn some draft pictures of characters and places which we used as a starting point to further innovate and design the game. We chose one of the pictures and talked what kind of game it would be but let it still open. We decided that I would design the game goal and mechanics and she would draw some more drafts.

I’m also on the lookout for good game development podcasts. I’ve listened to some non-game related podcasts in Onnibus during my trip back home from work. I tried listening to a few game dev podcasts but they weren’t that good so I’m asking for some tips to find interesting game dev podcasts :) When I’ve found good ones I can post a list here too!
